One wallpaper – one thousand tales: Boråstapeter’s new children’s collection, Scandinavian Designers Mini

Scandinavian Designers Mini is a wallpaper collection that highlights Scandinavia’s cultural heritage, while putting children, play and the imagination centre stage. The collection is also a way of celebrating some of Sweden’s most prominent children’s artists and playtime inspirations.

In mid-September, Boråstapeter will launch its Scandinavian Designers Mini, a playful children’s collection that is the natural follow-up to the two previous Scandinavian Designers Collections.

“This time we are putting children centre stage. With Scandinavian Designers Mini, we want to give the youngest members of the family something nice – wallpapers they really want,” says Sissa Sundling, Head of Design at Boråstapeter’s Design Studio.

Scandinavian Designers Mini features fantastic patterns created by childhood icons Elsa Beskow, Stig Lindberg and BRIO, as well as Boråstapeter’s own designer Amanda Nordblad. Playful nostalgia and beloved fairy-tale figures meet contemporary looks and narrative patterns that encourage creativity and imagination.

“Our customers are very conscious of – and care a lot about – their interiors, and we are seeing a clear demand for design even in children’s rooms.”

So let Scandinavia’s cultural heritage and playfulness onto your walls! Here you will find wallpapers and borders featuring patterns like Putte i Blåbärsskogen (“Peter in Blueberry Land”) and the Harebell by Elsa Beskow, Stig Lindberg’s Krakel Spektakel and Berså in new colours, BRIO’s classic icons and Boråstapeter’s Design Studio’s newly designed squirrels and swimming polar bears.

Lots of motifs full of fun, joyful discovery and true fairy-tale friends – perfect for bedrooms, playrooms, craft spaces or reading areas.

To further support children in the world, for each roll of wallpaper sold, Boråstapeter will donate SEK 15 (= appr. €1,5) to UNICEF. “As this is a children’s collection, this feels particularly important and positive – something we believe the collection’s artists and playtime inspirations would also have wanted,” says Sundling.

The collection launches in mid-September.
